Performing Arts Summer Camps
It's the most wonderful time of the year (in our opinions)!! The countdown is on to our 2023 Summer Camp Season. We have an exciting lineup of theatre, musical theatre and performing arts camps planned for this year. Check out our lineup below and then join us for a summer filled with fun and creativity!
Ages 4 and up
This dynamic and interactive performance camp features a variety of stimulating, fast-paced workshops such as: Puppets on Stage, Mad Hatters, Clowning Around, Whose Line Is It?, So We Know You Can Dance, Broadway Bound!, Behind the Stunts, Play-in-a-Day and Hocus Pocus featuring Magic Mel! Taught in a fun and creative atmosphere by theatre, music, dance and teaching professionals, children will be introduced to the joys of the performing arts while they gain confidence and allow their vibrant personalities to flourish.

Featuring...A Fun Bunsch of Munsch
In this popular, fun-filled and creative one-week summer camp program for young actors, children will be led step by step through the theatrical process as they focus on acting, comedy and staging. The young actors will build confidence and teamwork in preparation for their performance featuring a collection of popular and zany stories by Robert Munsch. Children will also benefit from a variety of theatre workshops including clowning, improv, puppetry, music, costuming and basic acting instruction as well as participate in theatre games and production crafts. Laughter and applause are guaranteed as the actors showcase their talents in their final performance at the end of the camp week.

Musical Theatre Camp
6 to 10 year olds
Featuring...Finding Nemo JR.
Finding Nemo the Musical is a hilarious adventure where you'll meet colourful characters that take you into the breathtaking underwater world of Australia's Great Barrier Reef. Nemo, an adventurous young clownfish, is unexpectedly taken to a dentist's office aquarium. It's up to Marlin, his worrisome father, and Dory, a friendly but forgetful tang fish, to make the epic journey to bring Nemo home. Their adventure brings them face-to-face with vegetarian sharks, surfer dude turtles, hypnotic jellyfish, hungry seagulls, and more!
In this creative and exciting one-week camp, budding performers will benefit from the exciting diversity of daily workshops in singing, dancing and acting, provided by theatre and teaching professionals. They will also have the opportunity to put their mark on the performance through the creation of production crafts, the building of confidence and in honing their dramatic skills! Laughter and applause are guaranteed as the performers showcase their talents in their final performance at the end of the camp week.

Ages 8 and up
Based on E.B. White's loving story of the unlikely friendship between a pig names Wilbur and a little spider named Charlotte, this play is as charming and timeless as the book itself. Wilbur has a problem: he desperately wants to avoid the butcher! Charlotte, a fine write and a true friend, hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zuckerman - she will create a miracle. Spinning the words "Some Pig" in her web, Charlotte weaves a solution which not only makes Wilbur a prize pig, but ensures his place on the farm forever!
Taught in a fun and creative atmosphere by theatre and teaching professionals, participants will be led step by step through the rehearsal and performance process where they will have the opportunity to hone their performance skills as well as gain confidence and an enriched understanding of teamwork. All actors will receive a speaking role and all levels of acting ability are welcome. Performers will showcase their talents in a full-scale production to be held on Friday August 11th at 7pm at Theatre Aurora.

Musical Theatre Camp
Ages 11 and up
College sweetheart and homecoming queen Elle Woods doesn't take no for an answer. So when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her for someone serious, Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and heads for Harvard Law School! While there, she struggles with peers, professors, and her ex. With the support of some new friends, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world. This all singing, all dancing, feel good musical comedy is so much fun, it shouldn't be legal!
In this creative, challenging and fun two-week camp program led by theatre, music, dance and teaching professionals, the budding performers will benefit from the exciting diversity of daily workshops in vocal, acting and dance training as they prepare for their full-length performance to be held on Saturday July 15th at 2pm at Theatre Aurora.
